Each book I illustrate is a new universe. It always takes some experimentation to determine what style of pictures the story wants, and to settle on a technique for each specific project. I’ve used water color, gouache and acrylic paints: pastel, colored and charcoal pencils; photo and fabric collage - and any combination of these. Currently my favorite technique is to import finished pencil drawings into Photoshop where I incorporate my library of paint swatches and fabrics to complete the illustrations.
